Play for all Australia
Connecting through play

EarlyEd joined Play For All Australia in 2016 with a common focus on creating inclusive communities.
Play For All Australia had formed to explore ways to create inclusive play spaces in
communities. EarlyEd is engaged whenever possible on ensuring councils consider the needs of children and their families in Disability Inclusion Action Plans especially children and parents with a disability. Play For All Australia first project, which was part of Northern Beaches Council investment partnership with the NSW Government in a major infrastructure investment – Connecting Northern Beaches, fostered creative thinking about ways to create equity of access to inclusive play spaces.
It focussed on the pocket parks that could be turned from uninspiring places to places that invite neighbourhood play and connection.
“Play for All Australia wants every child in all communities across Australia, to have the opportunity to equally participate and enjoy the cognitive, social and emotional benefits that only play can bring.”
“Play For All Australia is a for-purpose social enterprise.”
“We create and achieve ideas that are innovative, sustainable and cost-effective, and help councils and communities turn the dial on inclusive play.”
Play For All Australia lead to other partnership activities including with Cushman and Wakefield to create an inclusive approach for children with disabilities at VIVID Sydney and during COVID EarlyEd’s Learn to Play – Play to Learn Strategy.
