People First Community Lottery

For the next few months EarlyEd is taking part in the People First Community Lottery.

When you buy a $2 ticket in the People First Community Lottery, every dollar from your purchase for EarlyEd will go to our organisation.

The funds we raise will allow us to continue to walk alongside families while they need it.

People First Bank manages the administration, marketing, prizes and ticket production for the People First Community Lottery, with support from a number of valued partners.

This allows participating community groups to keep 100% of every $2 ticket sold, making fundraising simple and rewarding. Not only are you supporting EarlyEd but you will be in the running for over $300,000 in prizes.

Thank you for your support!

Help Us Maintain Vital Family Supports – Donate Today!

EarlyEd relies heavily on support from the community to help fund vital additional services. Donate today to help contribute to the lives of disabled children and their families.

Donating to EarlyEd in any amount provides vital family supports including:

  • Support for babies born with disability
  • Early support for families at the point of diagnosis
  • Supporting the needs of the whole family
  • Advocating for inclusion of children with disabilities in their community

All donations over $2 are tax deductible. See our frequently asked questions below to learn more about how your donation will help EarlyEd!

Sometimes a family has a growing sense that their child is not developing as they expected.  A parent wants to talk to someone who understands how to help their child, who knows how to help their child learn.

Waiting for advice doesn’t help a child’s development or family. Early free support does make a difference to a child’s learning life and their development.

Help us be there when they need us!

When a family receives a diagnosis of disability for their child, the right information and support right when they really need it can reduce the feelings of isolation and being overwhelmed.

EarlyEd’s team of early childhood intervention professionals support over 800 children and their families across Western and Northern Sydney every year. We can’t do that without community donations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is EarlyEd a charity?

Yes EarlyEd is a registered charity and has been operating for over 47 years.  It was started by a group of special educators concerned that there were no services for children with disabilities or delays in their development. They knew even then that starting intervention early makes a significant difference to a child’s development and their family’s lives.

What does EarlyEd do with donations?

EarlyEd uses donations for services and activities that:

  • give support directly to parents, children and families,
  • help community agencies include children with disabilities in their programs and
  • provide staff with practical, early intervention training to suit their individual service.

What specific services will my donation support?

EarlyEd donations make sure that we can help families as soon as they need it. These include:

  • Emergency support for families at the point of diagnosis
  • Advocating for the inclusion of children with disabilities in their community
  • Offering activities close to home
  • Support through playgroups
  • Providing immediate support and intervention to families with babies.

If a family is concerned about their child we provide information and advice. We meet with community agencies to keep them aware of the need to refer families early for support. Our work goes beyond therapy. We provide a space where families can ask questions, connect with others and feel supported. We are guided by current research and best practice in early childhood intervention and grounded in the belief that every child deserves access to high-quality support, and every family deserves to feel heard, understood and supported. In everything we do, we walk alongside families on their journey towards the best possible outcomes for their child.
