FRIENDSHIP SKILLS LEGO® GROUP
For children who need to develop their social skills.
3 Day School Holiday Program
Looking for a social way for your child to access early intervention supports and occupational therapy. EarlyEd offers this group every school holiday?
WHO IS IT FOR?
Open to pre-schoolers or school aged children with difficulties or delays in social communication.
Parents and siblings are involved in the group.
Ask about whether your child is ready to join this type of program.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Individual goals and strategies are created with the parent/carer to support each child to develop skills such as:
- Sharing
- Turn taking
- Engaging with peers
- Initiating positive interactions
- Responding to interactions appropriately
- Communicating in social settings
The group encourages social interaction, communication and collaborative play skills in a supportive environment.
Together, we will develop strategies with parents / caregivers that support their child’s social skills in other situations.
GROUP DETAILS
3 Group sessions:
Tues 16, Wed 17, Thu 18 January 2024
10:00am–11:30am
Individual goal setting session: organised the week before.
The group can only run if we have enough participants.
