What Our Families Say
“SportEd has been instrumental in helping Brendan feel confident and physically prepared for Ready Steady Go skills. He was able to participate comfortably in soccer skills and knew what to do…you are doing a great job, keep it up. SportEd has been wonderful.”
“I have had a wonderful experience at EarlyEd. Sarah is a kind, compassionate trainer who has patiently provided us valuable strategies, resources and approaches for my son…overall as a parent I believe I am now more patient, rational and understanding towards my child’s needs…”
“EarlyEd have been helping my son since day one of starting preschool. They’ve helped him settle in and worked through separation anxiety issues. My son has come a long way…and has become a lot more confident and comfortable. He is also making new friendships and has really improved in his speech. Thanks EarlyEd your support has been wonderful!”

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
“In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf. One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop! – out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar. He started to look for some food”.
Let’s celebrate Spring together with this classic story – The Very Hungry Caterpillar. With its colourful pictures and repetitive text children of all ages will enjoy watching the caterpillar as he eats his way through life until he becomes a beautiful butterfly.
How can reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar help support your child’s learning?
- Bright and colourful illustrations encourage children to look closely at the pictures
- Simple, repetitive text makes it easy for children to join in.
- Lots of opportunities to interact with the book – the holes in the pages encourages children to point, touch and count. Children can pretend to eat the food.
- Relatable easy to follow storyline – allowing children to follow sequence of events and predicting what might happen next.
- Build’s vocabulary through hearing new words, descriptive words, concepts.
- Children can get an understanding on nature and science through the butterfly lifecycle.
- Encourages early maths skills by counting the food, comparing quantities and understanding number order as the caterpillar eats more food each day.
- Promotes healthy eating, making choices and discussing different foods.
- Check your email, including your junk folder, for the Zoom link once registered. (We require you to register via Trybooking so that this free Start Strong program is accessible to everyone.)
- To protect the privacy of all participants, recording of Storytime is not permitted.
