Celebrating Trish and Michael’s volunteering contributions at the Community Services Award through at our Hornsby – Kur-ring-ai Rotary Community Services Award Night

What a wonderful opportunity the Hornsby – Kur-ring-ai Rotary Community Services Award Night was to recognise the ongoing support from these valuable volunteers who are such a joy to work with.

What a fantastic opportunity we shared last weekend. Three 3 members of our Cubby House Toy Library Team attended this year’s National Toy Libraries Training Weekend in Fremantle WA!

Thank you to Toy Libraries Australia for putting together a weekend of powerful learning experiences and supporting us to be able to make the journey.

Great News!

Toy Library Australia presents EarlyEd Cubby House Toy Library with the Excellence Award for Inclusion and Disability.

EarlyEd Cubby House Toy Library’s vision, Children of all Abilities thrive with their families in inclusive communities provides an inclusive toy library for all young children and their families in Northern Sydney and in the Northern Beaches.

Our inclusive community toy library is for everyone, whether they are families, children, or volunteers. It welcomes and includes all, no matter their age, disability, race, creed or gender. EarlyEd’s, over 45 years of maintaining best practice play supports in early childhood intervention, has underscored our approach to the Toy Library.  Whilst changing funding support and opportunities to engage with people from various spheres of life has extended our reach for our volunteer team.

Such a well deserved award for Leonie to recognise her many years of support and dedication to the Toy Library Community!

School holidays mean we have less volunteer support to pack Click and Collect orders, travel to drop off points and open the library.
puzzle

Jigsaw puzzles are a great tool for supporting learning but do you know why? It is not just because they create great opportunities for problem solving. This is why a toy library is great as we have every type of puzzle.
