National Toy Libraries Training Weekend

National Toy Libraries Training Weekend

What a fantastic opportunity we shared last weekend. Three 3 members of our Cubby House Toy Library Team attended this year’s National Toy Libraries Training Weekend in Fremantle WA!

Thank you to Toy Libraries Australia for putting together a weekend of powerful learning experiences and supporting us to be able to make the journey.

Volunteer, Therese, Cubby House Toy Library Administrator (for 30 years!!) and Kerry, CEO for EarlyEd came across from NSW to meet with Toy Libraries from around Australia. These, usually local, mostly not-for-profit services deliver, through the power of volunteering, a unique demonstration of how members of the community can work together to support local families and their children to connect, learn and play.

We also send a huge thank you to the WA toy libraries and teams who opened their doors to share how they engage with their community.

We need more Toy Libraries in NSW? There are only 72.

With more libraries our communities could have greater access, closer to home, safe, welcoming ways to connect in their local communities and start a child on a pathway to dynamic learning.
