Wombat went A’ walking by Lachlan Creagh
“Wombat went a walking and stopped to cool his feet, he saw a giant turtle climb out of the creek, ‘hey lazybones, there’s no time to rest, I’m going to a dance, will you be my guest?’”
This book follows a wombat as he walks through the Australian bush and meets different animals along the way. His first encounter is with a turtle who invites him to a dance and that is when the adventure begins. As Wombat travels through the bush, each new friend joins him on his journey. With a shimmy and a jive, a hop and a jump, the animals dance the night away. When morning comes, it is time to go their separate ways, but they promise to meet again and dance another day.
Join wombat and his Aussie animal friends as they jive, bop and twist their way to a party.
