Today we will be celebrating Book Week.  The theme for this year’s book week is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds.   Book week is celebrated annually.  It is an opportunity for books and children to come together.  Schools and libraries use this week to celebrate books, Australian authors and illustrators.  To celebrate Book Week 2021 we will be reading the book Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. 

This story is about a kind witch and her cat who travel the sky on their broomstick.  Along the way they are stopped by different animals who ask if they can ride with them on their broomstick…however is there enough room on the broom for all these animals?  When disaster strikes will they be saved from the hungry dragon. 

These stories are a great way to help children be ready for preschool/child care.
