Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell

A child decides they would love a pet, so they write to the Zoo for help. The Zoo happily begins sending different animals, each carefully packed inside a crate or container. But every animal has a reason why it isn’t the right fit. It’s either too big, too jumpy or too fierce.

After many attempts, the Zoo finally sends the right pet to love and care for.

Dear Zoo invites children to explore, predict and engage as they discover which animal might arrive next. The simple and repetitive text and illustrations encourage curiosity, and makes it easy for children to follow along, strengthen vocabulary and build on their comprehension skills.
