A FUN AND INCLUSIVE DAY OF SPORT TO TRY!

Specialist coaches available – Adaptive equipment – Community services – Kids showbags – Local sporting club exhibitors – Lunch and water supplied

Variety NSW and Sport NSW deliver Activate Inclusion Sports Days to give kids the opportunity to try sports they might otherwise miss out on. The days provide great opportunities for kids aged 5 – 18 with learning difficulties, intellectual, sensory and physical disabilities to participate in active recreation and organised sports.

What do the kids get?
At the Activate Inclusion Sports Days, the kids get an opportunity to try sports accessible within their local community such as AFL, Soccer
Cricket, Softball / Baseball, Hockey.

• Balance, coordination and mobility skills
• Teamwork, collaboration and planning
• Increased self-esteem through a sense of achievement

What do families and teachers get?
Information sessions are organised at each Activate Inclusion Sports Day for families and teachers. Sport NSW, Variety NSW, Ability Links and the Council provide short presentations to help families and teachers understand the pathways, resourcing, funding and services available to them in their local area.

•Learn about opportunities for your child/student to access local support and services
•Receive information about Variety Heart Scholarships
•Network with other families and teachers
