Our approach
EarlyEd takes a family-centred approach to the provision of early childhood intervention. We aim to work as a team, with families an integral part of the team.
We recognise that the family is the most important influence in a child’s life and that any services provided to children can only be delivered in the context of their family’s concerns and priorities.
We believe that early childhood intervention is not just what happens when you are at EarlyEd. Children learn in many ways, including through play. Everyday activities offer many opportunities for learning. Therefore, we work closely with families to provide ideas for developing skills that fit easily into the family's routine.
Each family's goals are discussed during the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings, where professionals and families can communicate regarding achievements, needs, and future plans.
EarlyEd acknowledges the right of families to determine the service needs and programme priorities for their child.
